I am going to start a small segment of stories for the front line of battlefield 2. The reason why is because I have been really getting into the game so there won't be much more to talk about, that and how I want to tell you some amazing stores that will get you hooked on this game.
The one thing about being a sniper that sucks is that you some times get to wrapped up you forget about the world outside of your scope and boom, you are surrounded by guys. I had this experience today when I was holding off a flag post that was the border to all other flag post. Lying there I was taking down guys left and right, then there seemed to be a moment when no one was there and peace was around. Soon enemies were coming back in but no allies, I then at this moment looked at the map and noticed the lines had shifted and I was on the wrong side of them. Being cut off from my allies I decided to take as many guys out as I can. I was able to get a few down and had a funny moment where a guy dived to save someone but I shot mid flight, he just became more dead weight. People started noticing where I was so I quickly put a claymore in front of the stairs to make for a nasty surprise. compression was starting to get me when more people kept trying to get me, almost to the point were I couldn't get them back. backing up to the wall, I tired to get cover but I guy got to place where he could easily get me and thus ended my life.
The one thing is most games is that you never see a team of guys who aren't in a clan or in a tournament working together, or at the very least sticking together. I got to have this feeling of teamwork in a nice battle, were a squad I had joined decided to move to far behind enemy lines. While they took a flag I took post with my new sniper rifle and spotted for them to see if anybody had noticed us. At first no one was in view so checked to see how my team was doing, they had just started to move out but then a man was shot. I quickly checked and saw that enemies were coming from almost everywhere, they had caught us in their trap. I tired to get as many as I can but foolish me didn't leave a claymore to protect the stairs I used to get to my hideout was shot in the back. Our team after we respawned again, headed out but this time even further into enemy lines, we found a lonely flag and moved in to get it. I sat back to cover our back while people headed in, all of a sudden a large explosion happened where the flag was and my team had been almost killed except me and a medic. he tried to revive people but then special ops rolled in and killed the remaining squad for which is c4 had taken the first people out. We had similar moments like these, but it felt good to be in a well oiled team that worked off each other's strength and weakness'.
There will be more stories from the front depending on reactions to this and what kind of battles emerge out there. All I can say is that one sniper means uh oh but 2 snipers means were dead.
